Most Inspiring Person Of My Life
By Kyle N.

My hockey coach probably makes the biggest impact on my life and let me tell you why. My coach always wants me to do my best on ice and off ice. An example is when he came over not so long ago he ask my dad where I was and I just got done with my homework and I got all of the problems right. He will always have the biggest impact on my life.

My coach always pushes me to be the best and if that means he has to bag skate me he will until I throw up. He probably pushes his son and I the hardest because he thinks we can get somewhere playing hockey. And even if I wasn’t the captain of my team he would still push me the hardest till I get to that position. When it was the Championship up in Colorado Springs I dad not have my best game but he kept on driving and finally I got the game-winning goal. I love how he always expects me to get first and that is a goal for me and I want to achieve that every time we get on the ice. And this has taught me to never give up in life and keep on trying hard.

Another reason why I picked my coach is because he believes in me and I know I could maybe get to college hockey because that is where he got to and I need to just keep on learning from him and maybe I can get somewhere. He has always believed in me even when something came down to the wire. When ever a game is on the line like if we need to tie the game up or get the game winning goal he has always put me on the ice and some days my teammates and I succeed and some days we don’t. The days we don’t win or tie the game he gets really mad at me and games we win he congratulates my teammates and me. But even if we do tie I know that a tie for you is a loss. This has taught me you have to really care about things that you like or things that you even don’t like.

The last thing, whenever we are off the ice me and you always mess around and you always call me a clonkey, which is a clown, mixed with a donkey. And you also gave me the nickname “Merlin” and you called me that cause I am a wizard. An example is when I am looking strait at you and you say something I always say back” what” or I just don’t even hear you. I just doze off. But I know you have expectations off the ice too. Like when ever we go to dinner and you always put me in charge of 16 other guys it is hard at times especially with Turner. I’ve learned that sometimes you can mess around and sometimes you can’t.

I have learned a lot from my coach he has taught me some valuable lessons in life and I will probably always remember you. Of all the things that you taught me my favorite thing was to play hockey. This is why my hockey coach is such a big chunk of my life. This is why I he will always stayed remembered.
